Margie Taylor

Mrs. Margie Lee Lefler Taylor, 92, of 2001 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kannapolis, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville. She was born on December 13, 1918 in Cabarrus County to the late Cletus and Ella Plott Lefler. Mrs. Taylor is also preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Johnson Taylor, who passed away in April, 2001; brother, Frank Lefler; and sisters, Annie Smith, Hallene Whitley, Maybelle Kluttz, and Lucy Kennedy. She was a member of Kerr Street United Methodist Church and a retired border from Kaiser Roth Hosiery Mill. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord from 12:00 until 1:30 pm. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis with Rev. Jim Hood officiating. She is survived by son, Jerry Taylor and wife, Nylene, of Olin, NC; grandchildren, Melissa Ann Taylor, of Jacksonville, FL and James Johnson Taylor, of Kernersville, NC; and great grandchild, Julia Rose Taylor.
