Maria Basile

Maria  Basile, 84, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Atrium Health Pineville in Charlotte.

Maria Basile’s journey began in Carini, Italy on November 6, 1935.

She was a devoted wife to Andrew Basile and a loving mother to Vito, Phyllis, and John Basile.

Maria loved and adored her family and never put anything before it. She had a passion for building and sustaining a legacy of strength and love to be inherited by her loved ones. Maria loved to cook and provide for her family. Opening the well-known Villa Maria with her beloved husband was one of her most honorable accomplishments. She was kind and welcoming to every person she encountered and never met a stranger. She kept those around her laughing. She will be remembered for her loving heart, beautiful smile, and joyful spirit. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Sunday January 5, 2020 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord from 6:00-8:00pm. The funeral service will follow on Monday January 6, 2020 at St. James Catholic Church in Concord at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis at Hwy. 29N at I85, Exit 58, Concord.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Andrew Basile, three children Vito, Phyllis and John Basile, seven grandchildren Amelia, Kristin, Andrew, Gabriella, Marco, Christian, and Olivia as well two great - grandchildren Keylee and Colbey.
