Maria Elena Charnoski, 77, of Concord, passed away Saturday, July 10th, 2021 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Mrs.Charnoski was born January 21, 1944 in Santiago, de Cuba to the late Ernesto de Moya Asencio and the late Hortensia Antunez.
She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Elmer Peter Charnoski; and sister Raquel de Moya.
Maria was a devoted Catholic and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many, including the primary caregiver to her parents. She was employed at Schering-Plough as a line supervisor for 27 years, in addition to her countless hours of volunteer work at St. Genevieve’s Church of Elizabeth New Jersey. She loved taking trips to Atlantic City while enjoying some down time at the casinos. Her primary joy in life was spending time with her family and grandchildren. Although Maria suffered with Parkinson’s for many years, she always made sure to help others and those who were less fortunate. She will never know how many lives she impacted with her kindness and generosity.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Marie Valles and husband Anthony of Concord, NC; sister, Myrtha Kreitzburg and husband Jon of Casa Grande, Arizona; grandchildren, Nicholas, Brianna, and Zackary Valles; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
