Maria Garcia, 35 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center - Northeast. Mrs. Garcia was born December 9, 1977 in Honduras to the late Nasario Garcia and Maria Angel Zelaya . The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Monday, September 16, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Alberto Mata will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 17, 2013 in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Norview Gardens in Norwood. She is survived by her husband, Jorge Villanueva Lopez of Oakboro; mother, Maria Angel Zelaya; sons, Marlon and Andy Garcia and Gerardo Paz; daughter, Vanessa Paz; brother, Jose Garcia; sisters, Aracely, Antonia and Norma Garcia.
