Marie Carpenter

Marie “Cotton” Robbins Carpenter, 84, of Concord passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at her home. She was born on July 25, 1926 in Cabarrus County to the late Walter and Jane Robbins Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Fred Olen Carpenter, Sr. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 19, from 6-8 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. At other times the family will meet at her home. The service will be held Friday, May 20 at 11 AM in Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord’s chapel. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Rev. Glenn Myers and Rev. Tim Yates will officiate the services. She is survived by: sons, Fred Carpenter, Jr. and wife Peggy of Concord and Robin Lynn Carpenter and wife Debbie also of Concord; sister, Elizabeth Aldridge of Concord; grandchildren, Shane Lynn Carpenter and fiancée Beth Eury of Concord and Kinza Jones of Wellington, FL; great-grandchildren, Kacie and Justin Jones.
