Marie Elaine Gordon

Marie Elaine Hatley Gordon, 80, of Richfield, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024, at her home.

Marie was born April 7, 1944, in North Carolina to the late Clester Lee Hatley and the late Pearl Blake Hatley. 

She was also preceded in death by brother, Wayne Hatley and sisters, Mary Lou Bridges, Trulia Corn, Edith Deal, and Donnie Crenshaw.

The graveside service will be on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 11:00 am at Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery in Albemarle, officiated by Pastor Brian Hackett. Burial will immediately follow at the Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery at 38866 Kemp Road, Albemarle.

Survivors include husband of 65 years, James Donald Gordon of the home; daughters, Sherri Ann (Randy) Rogers of Albemarle, NC, Donna Marie (Todd) Russell of Albemarle, NC, Cindy Lynn (Will) Hinson of Albemarle, NC, Amy Christine (Tony) Russell of Albemarle, NC; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, John Terry Hatley of Stanfield, NC; sisters, Jeanie Harkey of Midland, NC and Vicky Smith of Locust, NC.

Marie loved God and family first. She enjoyed bird watching, playing cards, and cooking for her family.
