Marie Haire

Marie Sikes Haire, 85 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center in Albemarle.

Mrs. Haire was born December 2, 1928 in Mecklenburg County to the late Henry Walter Sikes and the late Evelyn Marie Sikes.

She was also preceded in death by son, Tim Lewis; sister, Hettie Lowder; and husband, John Wesley Haire.

The graveside service will be on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Anderson Grove Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

Survivors include daughter, Teena Howard and husband, Alan, of Albemarle; son, Terry Lewis and wife, Sherry, of Albemarle; brother, Jack Sikes of Badin; grandchildren, Lauren (Eric) Varner of Albemarle, Lindsay (Joey) Foley of Lynchburg, VA, and Tyler Lewis of Stanfield; great grandchildren, Ella, Mallory and Jace Varner, and Caleb Foley.
