Marie Smith

Marie Whitley Smith, Age 82 of Locust, NC, passed away on September 12, 2009 at her home. Born in Richmond Co, NC on November 05,1926. She was preceded in death by Mary Huneycutt Whitley, her mother- Luther Pearson Smith, her spouse-Charles E. Smith, Sr. her son- Henry Arnold Whitley, her father, Ezekiel Whitley, her brother. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 14, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle. Funeral service will held on Tuesday,September 15, 2009 at 2 pm at Providence Church of God in Locust with the minister Rev.Jerry Ingle officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis,NC. She is survived by sons, Douglas Smith, Michael W. Smith, daughter, Sharon Starnes, 13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
