Marie Ussery

Marie Lowder Ussery, 78 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System Stanly in Albemarle.

Mrs. Ussery was born December 14, 1938 in Stanly County to the late Jacob Sidney Lowder and the late Esther May Lowder. She was also preceded in death by husband, Charlie "Shorty" Ussery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM - 2:00PM, Friday, January 6, 2017, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 2:00PM at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle. Burial will follow at the Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.

Survivors include son, Ricky Ussery of Albemarle; daughter, Kathy Lefler and husband, Beanie of Locust; grandchildren, Chris Ussery and wife Tabitha, Kristi Howell and husband Jason; great grandchildren, Katlyn Brooks, Karman Leigh and Brandon Howell.
