Marilyn Dikeman

Marilyn M. Dikeman, 85, of Concord, NC. died late Tuesday evening, October 31, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC. after an brief illness.

Mrs.Dikeman was born on January 24, 1932 in Harrisburg, PA. to the late Charles William and Ona Margaret ( Watson) Doherty.

On July 20, 1956 in Bronx, NY. she married her loving husband of 61 years, Robert Herbert Dikeman who survives.

Other survivors include her devoted daughters, Jennifer L. Dikeman of Westbury, NY; Marilyn T. (James) Brinkley of Concord, NC; Ellen M. Kaiser of Harrisburg, NC and Jean M. (Joe) Ambrosio also of Harrisburg, NC. Two sons, Robert C. (Julie) Dikeman of Richland, WA. and George A. (Darinda) Dikeman of Needville, TX. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren, Kristen, Sara, Harry, Katie, Hailey, Megan, Michael, John, Erin, Ryan, Nicholas, Patrick, Matthew and Anna. Seven brothers and sisters, Jerry (Eileen) Doherty, Richard (Marie) Doherty both of PA., Charles Doherty of CO. Winifred Vaverchak, Madeline (Tom) Vaverchak both of NY; Ona Rechner of NJ. and Karen (Tom) Batten of PA. She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Patricia A. Dikeman who died on September 9, 1957 and twelve brothers and sisters.

At the family's request Memorial services will be private.

Marilyn will forever be missed by her loving and devoted family and many dear friends. May God grant her eternal rest.
