Marion Strickland

Marion Edward Strickland, age 69, of Albemarle passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013 at his home. The memorial service will be at 4 PM on Friday May 31, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Joe Smith officiating. At other times the family will be meeting at the home. Marion was born in Albemarle on January 25, 1944 to the late William Redmond Strickland and the late Cora Lee Hinson Strickland. He is also preceded in death by brothers, Bryce and Hurley Strickland; and sister, Geraldine Wise. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shirley Corine Morton Strickland of the home; daughter, Tamara Strickland Eudy and husband Shannon; son, Tony Strickland; grandchildren, Maranda and Chase Eudy; and brother, Harold Strickland, all of Albemarle. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St., Albemarle, NC 28001. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Strickland family.
