Marion Wilhoit

Marion "Biddie" Diane Poplin Wilhoit, 72 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016.

Biddie was born February 22, 1944 in Stanly County to the late Cato Poplin and the late Wayne Poplin. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Reggie Garrett Wilhoit, who passed away in 2008; brothers, Bob and Larry Poplin; and sister, Nancy Burleson.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The graveside service, officiated by Rev. Joe Smith, will be at 11:00 am on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Stanly Gardens of Memory, 2001 East Main St., Albemarle. At other times, the family will be gathering at the home.

She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Wilhoit Rummage of Badin, Tammy Wilhoit and boyfriend Tim Springer of Albemarle; sons, Mike Wilhoit of Albemarle, Dustin Wilhoit of the home; grandchildren, Michelle Springer and husband Bryan of Albemarle, Jason Rummage of Charlotte; great-grandchildren, Dallas and Brylyn Springer, both of Albemarle; sister, Johnnie Adcock of Georgia; and her dog, Daisy.
