Marjorie Sneed

Marjorie Bernice Sneed, 85 years of age, of Mount Pleasant, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Brian Center in Concord.

Marjorie was born June 12, 1929 in Cabarrus County to the late Robert Alexander Cook and the late Alice Mayfield Cook.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Earl Lee Sneed, and son, Jackson Alexander Sneed. She retired from General Electric Motor Company in Charlotte, NC, and some of her favorite pastimes were cooking, gardening, and quilting.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord in Concord officiated by Rev. Lonnie Karriker. Burial will follow at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity in Mt. Pleasant, NC.

Survivors include son, Ronald Lee (JoAnn) Sneed of Locust, NC; daughter, Elizabeth Sneed (Jerry) Hoke of Mt. Pleasant, NC; son, Earl Eugene Sneed of Mount Pleasant, NC; daughter-in-law, Susanna Sneed of Mt. Pleasant, NC; grandchildren, Lisa Hoke Thomas, Rodney Lee Sneed, Renee Sneed Spratling, Brandon Keith Ritchie, Dustin Alexander Sneed, Lauren Sneed Shue, Jonathan Tyler Sneed, Jordan Lee Sneed, and Courtney Hampton Sneed; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Blanche Howell of Concord, NC; sister, Emily Kennedy of Kannapolis, NC; sister, Sue Boyter of Charlotte, NC; and brother, Harry Cook of Hickory, NC.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friends of the Mt. Pleasant Fire Dept., at PO Box 787, Mt. Pleasant, NC 28124, or Cold Water Lutheran Church at 1725 Gold Hill Rd., Concord, NC 28025.
