Mark Thalhamer

Mark Raymond Thalhamer, 66, of Concord, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 at
Universal Healthcare in Concord.

Mr. Thalhamer was born March 1, 1956 in Uniondale, New York to the late Ernest
Thomas Thalhamer and the late Grace Gertrude Pellerino Thalhamer. He was also
preceded in death by his brother Guy Robert Thalhamer.

Mark's enthusiasm for auto mechanics started at the young age of 16 when he started
working on the family vehicles. He was the head mechanic for a small race team by 19.
Following that he would be employed by a number of repair shops where he eventually
would rise to head mechanic. He was self taught and his talent in the field would carry
him throughout his life where he worked in many aspects of the industry. He finished his
career working for the trucking company Freightliner.

Mark's always maintained a small circle of friends. And how lucky these people were. He
was generous with his time which is why he didn't look to spread himself too thin. How
fortunate these people were to have Mark in his life. And how fortunate was anyone who
happened to cross Marks path during his time in this world.

Mark enjoyed being on the water. He owned several boats during his time and would take
family and friends out to fish or just hang out on a lake. He also enjoyed yard sales and,
as everyone knows, would find some great deals!

Mark was very happy to become a father having two boys, Joseph (Jojo) and Michael
(Mikey). And he loved Lisa's other two children, Travis and Gabe just the same. He was
proud of them all and spoke of them often.

Mark will be greatly missed by all. But I know that Mark would want us to move on
and be happy with the fond memories that he left us with. May he rest in peace.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at
Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 1:00 pm at
West Concord Cemetery in Concord, 331 Union Cemetery Rd SW, Concord. The
graveside service will be officiated by the Reverend Don Burleyson.

Survivors include brother, Kurt Thalhamer of West Islip, brother Ernie Thalhamer of
Holbrook, NY, and sister, Laura Childs of Coram, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Coalition for
Autistic Children.
