Marlene Huneycutt

Marlene Harrington Huneycutt, 88, of Cornelius, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022.

Marlene was born July 5, 1934, in Albemarle to the late Fred Lawrence Harrington and Sunnie Bee Kimrey Harrington.  She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Everett Lester Huneycutt; brother, Wade Harrington; and sister, Marie Clark.

Marlene was a very active member of Eastway Baptist Church for over 64 years.  She was the co-founder of Eastern Refrigeration Service, Inc. and a member of the RSES.  Marlene enjoyed traveling with Everett as members of the Hornets Nest Region of the AACA Car Club.

Survivors include her daughter, Amanda Blythe and husband, Mike, of Concord; son, Lamar Huneycutt and wife, Lisa, of Denver; four grandchildren, Hannah Efird and husband, Brian, of Kannapolis, Seth Rogers and wife, Jen, of Concord, Nicolette McCrary and husband, Garrett, of Green Cove Springs, FL, and Peyton Roberts and husband, Will, of Greenwich, CT; four great-granddaughters, Erica and Lily Efird, and Quinn and Reese McCrary; two great-grandsons, Henry Roberts and Wilder McCrary; and nieces, Phyllis Vanhoy and husband, Don, and Aimee Bowers and husband, Jeff.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg.  A graveside service in celebration of Marlene's life will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at Stanly Gardens of Memory Mausoleum in Albemarle, officiated by Pastor David Gales.  Face masks are encouraged.
