Marlene Perry

Marlene Elizabeth Boreman Perry, 78, of Fairview, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016.

Marlene was born December 2, 1937 in Wayne County, Ohio to the late Elmer Elsworth Boreman and the late Crystal Fern Brownson Boreman. She was also preceded in death by her son, Philip Dean Perry; and sister, Donna Humphrey.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Don Lisk and Rev. Homer Murdock. The burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd., Charlotte. At other times, the family will be gathering at the home of her son, Mike Perry, 9405 Heritage Lane, Indian Trail.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl Rushing and husband, Danny of Unionville, Patti Perry and partner Mike Robinson of Stallings, Mike Perry and wife, Pam of Fairview, Diane Fenlong and husband, Howard of Fairview; sister, Carolyn Johnson of Fredericksburg, OH; nine grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, Jesse, Josh, Phillip, Tina, Kevin, Erin, Dustin; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Granny was a loving and wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. The most important thing in her life was her family. She was selfless, always making sure that everyone was taken care of. Granny loved to make people laugh, and enjoyed walking her companion, little Lucy, her dog.
