Marshall Ray Parks, 72, of Stanfield, formerly of Wartburg, Tennessee, passed away Friday, November 16, 2012 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. Mr. Parks was born June 26, 1940 in Clairfield, Tennessee to Ione Harness Parks of Tenn. and the late Chester Marshall Parks. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Donna Faye Scharr. Mr. Parks was an electrician for Lance in Charlotte and attended Kinza Memorial Baptist Church in Stanfield. He served our country in the Navy. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Midland officiated by Rev. Dr. Darrell Nance and Rev. Tim Kendall. At other times, the family will meet at his home. Survivors include his wife, Rose Ann Parks, of the home; his mother, Ione Parks of Tenn; his son, Keith Parks and his wife, Anna, of Huntersville; his daughters, Karen Coffey and Judy Brown of Mooresville; his stepson, Robert Linker, Jr. of Salisbury; his brothers, J. R. Parks, H. C. Parks, Benny Parks, and Chester Parks, all of Tenn.; his sister, Susan Coffman of Tenn.; and lots of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
