Martha Lane

Miss Martha Rebecca Lane, 93 years of age, departed this life into the arms of our Lord on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Carillon Assisted Living in Harrisburg. Miss Becky was born March 28, 1920 in Chowan County, NC to the late William Henry Lane and Virgie Asbell Lane. She is also preceded in death by her brother, William Hardy Lane, Sr. She attended Harrisburg Methodist Church as long as she was able. Becky always had a smile and good word to everyone she came in contact with. The graveside service will be at 11 am on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Sharon Memorial Park, 5400 Monroe Rd., Charlotte with Rev. Toni Rose Smith officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. At other times the family will be gathering at the home of her niece, Nancy Hunt, 220 Oakside Dr. in Harrisburg. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Martha B. Lane, and numerous nieces and nephews. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Lane family.
