Martha Miller

Ruth Vanhoy Miller, 83, of Richfield, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Friday, May 3, 2013 from 7:00pm until 9:00pm. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Branan Hooven, will be held at Mt. Creek Primitive Baptist on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 4:00pm with a 30 minute state prior to the service. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at her home. Mrs. Miller was born on August 16, 1929, to the late Lock Vance Vanhoy and Mary Louise Helms Vanhoy. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Claude Miller; son, Tony Miller of Monroe; daughter, Barbara Wilson and husband Rick of Mt. Airy; two granchildren, Krystle Miller-Moucka and Matthew Miller; and four great grandchildren.
