Martha Poplin

Martha Ann Poplin, 78 of Stanly County passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Forrest Oakes. Mrs. Poplin was born September 19, 1934 in Union County to the late Daniel Mae Coble and Mildred Frances Stewart. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ted Blanton Poplin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 24, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 25, 2013 in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Midland. She will be buried at Meadow Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery; 20063 Meadow Creek Church Road, Locust, NC 28097. Survivors include her four daughters, Shirley Wittman of Richfield, Carolyn Helms, Kathy Almond, Doris Love all of Stanfield and sister-in-law Fannie Haigler of Locust; sister Janie Lucille Long of Marshville; eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Poplin family.
