Martin Hudson, Sr

Martin "Luke" Hudson Sr. , 87 years of age, of Concord, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at his residence.

Luke was born August 22, 1927 in North Carolina to the late James Theodore Hudson and Pearl Louise Carriker Hudson. He was also preceded in death by wife, Kathleen Geneva Hudson and three brothers John, Rob and C.B.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Sunday at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord in officiated by Rev. David Wilson . Burial will follow at the West Concord Cemetery at 331 Union Cemetery Rd SW, Concord.

Survivors include two sons, Martin Luther Hudson, Jr. and wife Darlene of Locust and James "Arlan" Hudson, Sr. and wife Helen of Mt. Pleasant, three daughters, Shirley Elaine Hudson of Concord, Vickie Star Kennedy and husband Gary of Concord, Kimberly Dawn Auman and husband R.H. of Concord, two sisters, Betty Burris Smith of Concord, Margaret Hudson Wagoner of Rowan. Ten grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Luke was a farmer and had retired from Cannon Mills Plant 10.
