Marvin Efird

Mr. Marvin Elwood "Frog" Efird, 83, formerly of 154 Powder Street, Concord, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2010 at Universal Healthcare. Born on April 15, 1927 in Cabarrus County, he was the son of Roy Lee Dorton and the late Willie Minnie Jenkins Blackwelder. All friends and family are invited to a visitation at Solid Rock Worship Center, 3000 Centergrove Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083, on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 1:30. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 with Rev. Raymond Davis officiating. Interment will be at a later date. He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Marlene Efird and Temekia Nicole Reynolds Cruse; step son, Joseph Childress; step daughter, Bobbie Carter; six grandchildren, three step grandsons, and four step-great-grandchilren. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, OB and Della Efird. The family would like to thank Universal Healthcare for all the wonderful care they gave to him.
