Mary Agardi

Mary Martha Short Agardi, 85years of age, of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Agardi was born June 16, 1928 in West Virginia to the late William Buford Short and Audrey Short . She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dr William Buford Short Jr., and Larry Short; and three sisters, Elizabeth Short, Betty Steed, and Nancy Smith. She was a life-time member of Alpha Signa Tau at Concord University in Athens, West Virginia. Mrs. Agardi was a teacher in elementary and high school. Survivors include husband, George Kenneth Agardi of the home; son, George Kenneth Agardi, II of Midland; daughter, Mary Diane Powell of Mint Hill; grandchildren, Ryan Powell, Dr. Rebecca Powell, Craig Agardi, and Jillian Agardi; and great-granddaughter, Isabell Powell. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Agardi family.
