Mary Crayton

Mary Alice Troutman Crayton, 86, of Midland, NC went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 8, 2019 at Trinity Oaks Health and Rehab in Salisbury, NC.

Alice was born August 22, 1932 in Cabarrus County, NC to the late Herman Harrison Troutman and the late Lois Kathleen Troutman, the oldest of 17 children.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, J. D. Crayton in 2004; as well as daughter in law Donna Crayton in 2002.

Funeral services for Mrs. Crayton will take place on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Midland,  officiated by Rev. Tom Gibbs.  She will lie in state for 30 minutes starting at 12:30pm.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery at 4720 Garmon Mill Road in Midland, NC.  The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the burial.

Survivors include son Jerry Crayton and wife Sylvia; daughter JoAnn Martin and husband Larry; daughter Becky Barnhardt and husband Glenn; daughter Teri Ousley and husband Mark; son Jeff Crayton and wife Renae; 19 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and three great great granddaughters.  The family would like to recognize Shelby Long, who was not only her sister, but also her best friend.  A special thank you to son in laws Glenn and Larry for the love and care they gave to Alice.

Memorials may be made to the Virginia Casey Alzheimer's Unit at Trinity Oaks Health and Rehab, 820 Klumac Road, Salisbury, NC 28144.
