Mary Ashman

Mary (Ivey) Ivarea Ashman, 77, of Concord, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Private family services will be held at a later date. Ivey was born on July 9, 1935 in Wake County, to the late Troy Benton Sanders and Lucy Gray Davis Sanders. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband Paul Bonnie Ashman, and grandchild Josh Jordan. She is survived by her son, Larry Strickland and wife Pam; daughters, Vicky D. Samples and husband Dirk,and Sherry Jordan and husband Jeff; sister, Becky Baucom; grandchildren, Wesley Grindstaff, Jamie Grindstaff, Damian Davis, Michael Strickland, and Ashley Jordan; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Kelsey Grindstaff, and Hunter, Bentlee Grindstaff, Abigail and Aiden Jordan, Baylea and Payton Murph, and Ava Jordan. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Ashman family.
