Mary Sue Curlee Baggs, 85, of 565 Lake Lynn Road Concord, NC passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at home. Born on July 7, 1925 in Union County to the late Seaborn and Mary Lilly Smith Curlee. Also preceded in death by her husband Edward J. Baggs, Sr. in September of 1987, brother W.R. Curlee and daughter-in-law Marilyn "Pru" Baggs. Mrs. Baggs was former president of The Medial Assistant Association. She was the office manager for Orthopedic Surgical Clinic for her brother Dr. Lewis Curlee for over 25 years, then as personnel director at Five Oaks Nursing Center until her retirement in 1991. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 11:30 AM until 1 PM. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM in the chapel, with Mrs. Martha Corriher as speaker. Entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum in Kannapolis. Survived by: sons, William W. "Bill" Baggs of Concord, Richard L. Baggs and wife Gwen of Marshville, and Edward J. Baggs, Jr. and fiancé Debbie Benfield of Concord; daughters, Mary B. Isenhour and husband Gene of Concord, Teresa B. Eudy of Concord, and Ann B. Cress of Concord; brothers, Warren Curlee of Barnwell, SC, and Dr. Lewis Curlee and wife Buaban of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Bill Baggs, II, Lauren Baggs, Whitney Baggs, Logan Baggs, Eddie Baggs III, Michelle Munn, Teresa Helms, Katherine Baggs, Mary “Boo†Isenhour Rogers, Brooke Isenhour Collins, breeze Isenhour Smith, and Paul Eudy; and 12 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express a special thank-you to Janna Davis, Tabatha Hobday nurses with hospice, and Hazel Mullis and Vickie Raper family caregivers, for their love and care of Sue during her illness.
