Mary Barbee

Mary Lucille Barbee, 83 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle.
Mrs. Barbee was born July 16, 1933 in Stanly County to the late Ed Thompson and the late Margaret Freeman Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Barbee; daughter, Pattie Poplin; and grandson, Jason Poplin.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. A graveside service will be on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle.
Survivors include son, Donald Barbee and wife, Cathy of Albemarle; grandchildren, Angie Austin and husband, Barrett of Oakboro; Melissa Eberson and husband, Matt of Mt Pleasant; Daniel Barbee and wife, Kristen of Concord, Brooke Shank and husband, Tommy of Richfield, Debra Barbee and fiance, Tony Loftin of Albemarle, and Adam Poplin of Richfield; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Stanly County and the Uwharrie, 960 N. First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
