Mary Brines

Mary Lee Edgison Brines, age 80, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away at her home on Friday, April 15, 2011. She was born on November 29, 1930 in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late Marshall Robert and Mamie Rebecca Yost Edgison. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Lewis "Pete" Brines. Mary was a hard worker. She worked at the Fair Martain Box Factory for 30 years and as a line chef at Charlotte Motor Speedway for 20 years, as well as at UNCC and Cabarrus County Schools. She also volunteered at the Enrichment Center and food ministry in Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 18, 2011 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord from 9:00 until 11:00 AM. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Bob Lovett to officiate. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Brines Ellington and husband, Joe, of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Carrie Ellington, of Mt. Pleasant and Jessica Mishak, of Gold Hill; twin sister, Doris Horton, of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Marie Mullis and Geraldine Howell, both of Concord; brothers, Coy and Gene Edgison, both of Mt.
