Mary Cotton

Mary Louise Cotton, 76, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at her home.

Mrs. Cotton was born June 1, 1943 in Anson County to the late Jerry Sheppard and the late Elizabeth Mauldin Sheppard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Cotton, Jr; sister, Sara Calvin; brothers, Jerry Sheppard, Jr., John Sheppard, Thomas Sheppard, and Allen Sheppard.

Mary Louise was a very loving mother and dearly loved her grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow in the Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Don Burleyson. Burial will follow the service at the Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.

Survivors include daughters, Joan (Ed) Foreman of Norwood, NC, Paula (Bobby) McRorie of Monroe, NC, Linda Carlene Allen of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Garrett (Ashley) Foreman of Albemarle, Kylar Gallimore of Colorado Springs, CO, Brandon Gallimore of Monroe, NC, Madison (Zack) Horne of Monroe, NC; great-grandchild, Kason Gallimore of Monroe, NC; sisters, Nancy Medlin of  Union County, NC, Sue (Bobby) Bowers of Albemarle, NC, Mildred (Jerry) Miller of TX, Debbie (Mike) Goodwin of Lilesville, NC, Joanne Sheppard, of Anson County, NC; and brother, Charlie (Helen) Sheppard of Lilesville, NC.
