Mary Crisco

Mary Lee Meggs Crisco, 90 years of age, of Marshville, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center-Northeast. Mary Lee was born November 30, 1922 in Union County to the late Leander Meggs and the late Bertha Thomas Meggs. She was also preceded in death by husband, Herman Grover Crisco in 1999 and daughter, Gloria Kiker; one great granddaughter, Karrie; two brothers and one sister. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service, with a 30 minute state prior to the service and officiated by Rev. Coy Blackman and Rev. Jeff Rushing, will be at 2:00pm. Friday, August 2, 2013 at Mount Moriah United Methodist Church in Marshville (New Salem). Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She is survived by sons, Larry Crisco and wife, Sherry of Kannapolis and Dwayne Crisco of Locust; brothers, Marvin Meggs of Marshville, and Kemp Meggs of Concord; grandchildren, Paul Kiker, Abigail Crisco, Douglas Gardner, Landon Crisco and Heather Hatchell, and six great grandchildren. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. In addition she was an active and dedicated member of her church, Mount Moriah.
