Mary Ford

Mrs. Mary Katherine “Kat” Shoe Ford, 82, of 175 Alberta Court, Concord, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at CMC NorthEast. She was born on July 22, 1928 in Cabarrus County to the late Addie Shoe. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Julian "Pat" Ford, who passed away November 11, 1992. Mary was a member of Highland Baptist Church, Concord and a retired seamstress from FunTees Hosiery Mill. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord, on Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Hartsell Funeral Home with her grandson, Rev. Kevin Ford officiating. Burial will be at West Concord Cemetery. At other times, the family will be meeting at the home of son, Lee Ford, at 338 Office Drive, Concord. She is survived by her sons, Lee Ford, Franklin "Tink" Ford, Ricky "Cotton" Ford, and Kenneth "Doodle" Ford, all of Concord; sister, Peggy Tallent, of Concord; grandchildren, Jeff, Kevin, and Patrick Ford and Angie Stegall; and six great grandchildren.
