Mary Gallagher

Mary “Helen” Barbee Gallagher, 83 of Albemarle, passed away at 1:48 a.m., Wednesday, May 5, 2010 in her home. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle, Thursday, May 6, 2010 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. At other times the family will be at the home, 704 Love St. Albemarle. Funeral service will Friday, May 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory. Mrs. Gallagher was born January 12, 1927, in Albemarle, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Jay Barbee and Mary Louise Howard Barbee. Also husband, Gerald Ralph Gallagher. She retired from Wiscassett Mills, Albemarle. Mrs. Gallagher was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She will be forever missed by her family and friends. She is survived by 3 daughters, Patricia “Pat” Hatley; Catherine “Cathy” Lambert and husband Vernon “Ray” Lambert, Bonnie Kay Lee of Richfield and a son, Randy Jay Gallagher and wife Shirley Hicks Gallagher of Shallotte, 2 former son-in-laws, James “J.T.” Hatley and Tommy Lee, 11 grandchildren, Michael Hatley and Wife Bonnie Laun Hatley, Jeremy Hatley and wife Jennifer Hathcock Hatley, Thomas “Allen” Gallagher, Melissa Lambert Harris and West Harris, Melinda Lambert Brown and husband Ray Brown, Shaun Lambert and wife Leah Efird Lambert, Joseph “Chad” Smith, Heather Smith Barringer and husband Adam Barringer, Chris Lee, Tommy Lee, and Kacy Lee, 8 great grandchildren, Alyssa Harris, “C.J.” Harris, Cody Hatley, Kayla Hatley, Tyler Lambert, Shae Lambert, Noah Hatley and Parker Brown.
