Mary Frances (Miller) Gandy, age 78, of 152 Patterson Avenue SE Concord, NC died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at CMC-Northeast in Concord, NC. Mrs. Gandy was employed by Pillowtex Inc. as a weaver. The family is meeting at the home of her daughter Laura Simpson at 63 Third Street NW Concord, NC. . . Born in Cabarrus County on April 23, 1931 she was the daughter of the late James Leonard Miller, Jr. and the late Irene Maddie (Propst) Miller. Mrs. Gandy was also preceded in death by her husband Howard Lee Gandy, Sr. who passed away in 1993, and also by a grandson Howard Lee Simpson. She is survived by her Son-Howard L. Gandy, Jr. of Concord NC, Daughter-Laura Frances (Gandy) Simpson of Concord, NC, Grandchildren Ronnie Clay, Jr., & Scottie Gandy. Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Concord. A Memorial service will be held at New Hope Worship Center on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 7:00 PM.
