Mary Hathcock
September 3, 1930 — September 27, 2014
Mary Love Hathcock, 84 years of age, of Stanfield passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Bethany Woods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle.
Mary was born September 3, 1930 in Stanly County to the late Bill Ollie Love and Bertie Elizabeth Love.
She was also preceded in death by husband, James Homer Hathcock; two sons, Joel Wilson Hatchcock and James David Hathcock; and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 pm, Monday, September 29, 2014 at Kinza Memorial Baptist Church, 4311 Love Mill Road, Stanfield. The funeral service will be Monday at 3:00 pm officiated by Rev. Dr. Darrell Nance and Rev. Lynn Kunkle. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include daughter, Diann Burris (Ronald) of Albemarle, son, Darrell Hathcock (Banna) of Stanfield, son, Ricky Hathcock (Iris) of Stanfield, and daughter, Teresa Morton (Bobby) of Oakboro; sister, Shirley Kunkle of Statesville; 14 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
Mary loved her family, quilting, and cooking for her family along with her flower garden and loved visiting Walmart.
