Mary Hudson

Mary Louise Burris Hudson, age 88 of 44018 Danville Rd, New London, NC passed away on April 23, 2010 at Stanly Manor in Albemarle. Born in Stanly County on December 16, 1921. Mary Louise Burris Hudson was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Colon John Hampton Hudson; her mother, Nora Bell Morton Burris; father, Shepherd Irenus Burris; daughter, Minnie Dorothy Garmon and 3 sisters. She was a charter member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church and had worked for American and Efird Mills for 20 years. She was a dedicated minister’s wife and read her bible everyday. She enjoyed gardening and was a loving mother, and grandmother. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2010 from 06:00 PM 08:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle. Funeral service will held on Monday,April 26, 2010 at 02:00 PM at Crossroads Baptist Church, with minister Rev. Charles Bowers officiating. Burial will follow at Faith Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mary Louise Burris Hudson is survived by her daughter, Louise Mauldin of New London NC; her son, Rev. Eddie Hudson and wife Libby of New London NC; her sisters, Cannie Bell Hudson of Albemarle NC, Helen Hatley of Albemarle NC, Vernie Bailey of Albemarle NC; her brother, Robert Burris of Albemarle NC; 8-Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren; special caregiver, Amanda Howard.
