Mary Huneycutt

Mary Hazeline “Pete” Huneycutt, 82, of Albemarle, passed from this world to her eternal heavenly home on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 PM. At other times the family will meet at her daughter’s home, 48487 High Rock Road, Richfield, NC. The funeral will be at Philadelphia Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 2:00pm. Rev. Dwight Mabry will officiate and the burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born February 6, 1930 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Carl Hill and the late Julia Edwards Hill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Tyler Huneycutt and a son, Donnie Milford Huneycutt. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Goodman and husband Jackie Goodman; granddaughter, Abbie Gail Goodman; her beloved dog Mattie; brother, Carl “Buck” Hill and wife Peggy; and sister, Dean Morgan. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, family and friends who she loved. Her hobbies include cooking, sewing, gardening, and working in her yard. She grew beautiful flowers, loved cooking and sharing her food with family and friends. She enjoyed sharing and spending time with her gardening buddy, Lynn Lowder.
