Mary Huneycutt

Mary “Jewell” Hahn Huneycutt, 82 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at her home. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church Mt. Pleasant on Sunday, June 17 from 2 until 4 pm. Funeral services will follow at the church at 4 pm, with Rev. Tom Flemming and Rev. John Sell officiating. Burial will be on Monday, June 18 at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens. Mary was born on April 15, 1930 in Stanly County, to the late Ranzo and Dallie Mae Morgan Hahn. She was also preceded in death by her husband Dolph J. Huneycutt, brothers Hoyle and Hubert Hahn, sisters Leola Osborne and Pearl Curlee. She is survived by: sons, Douglas Wayne Huneycutt and wife Janice of Concord and Ricky James Huneycutt and wife Faye of Mt. Pleasant; brothers, sisters, Mildred Talley, Maxzell Whitley, Aline Tarlton and husband Wilson; grandchildren, Gregory Douglas Huneycutt, Jennifer Dorton-Styron, Christopher James Huneycutt, Leslie Faye Huneycutt Rector; great-grandchildren, Wynn Jewell Huneycutt, Aubrie Elsie Huneycutt. Mary worked at Penn Carol Hosiery Mill, and was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and at CMC-NorthEast in the surgical waiting room.
