Mary Whitley

Mary Jewel (Huneycutt) Whitley, age 83, of Stanfield, N.C., died Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Stanly Manor in Albemarle, N.C. She was a member of Kinza Memorial Baptist Church. The family would like to thank the staff of Stanly Manor and also her special friend and roommate Buna High. The family will meet at her home. She was the daughter of the late Homer Lee Huneycutt and the late Maude Huneycutt. She is survived by her Daughter-Wanda H. Drake and husband Garry of Norwood, N.C. Son-Jerry Lee Helms and wife Linda of Stanfield, N.C. Son-James (Jimmy) Douglas Helms and wife Carolyn of Stanfield, N.C. Sister-Mildred Haynes of Coinjock, N.C. Sister-Nadine Moose of Elizabeth City, N.C. Brother-"Red" Huneycutt of Locust, N.C. Brother-Bruce Huneycutt of Charlotte, N.C. Ten grandchildren Ninteen great-grandchildren She is also preceded in death by her first husband Bobby Junior Helms, her second husband Henry Graydon Whitley, her son Keith Helms, and brothers James, Lawrence, Charlie and Clifford Huneycutt. Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Midland, PO Box 100, Midland, N.C., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, July 4, 2009. Funeral service will be at Kinza Memorial Baptist Church-Stanfield, NC at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 5, 2009 , Rev. Dwight Mabry Dr. Rev. Darrell Nance officiating. Interment will be at Kinza Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery in Stanfield, N.C.
