Mary Lambert

Mary Lee Ashe Lambert, 84 years of age, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Hospice of Union County in Monroe. Mrs. Lambert was born February 15, 1927, in Greenville, S. C., to the late Alvin Estus Ashe and Annie J. Gibson Ashe. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Lee Lambert in 1995. The family will receive friends from 3 – 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. in the chapel, officiated by Dr. Darrin Moore and Rev. George Gouge. Burial will follow in the Running Creek Primitive Baptist Cemetery. Survivors include her son, Brady Lambert and his wife, Minerva, of Chapel Hill; her daughters, Janice Williams and her husband, Don, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Frances Simmons and her husband, Boyd, of Indian Trail; her brother, Larry Ashe of Statesville; her sisters, Faye Smith of Albemarle and Emma Jean Farrell and Evelyn Olephant, both of Mebane; her grandchildren, Pam Simpson, Tracy Moore, Laura and Brian Williams, and Brittney Lambert; and five great-grandchildren.
