Mary Little

Mary Herlocker Little, 96 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Little was born August 23, 1920 to the late Jonah Herlocker and Ada Hatley Herlocker. She was preceded in death by her husband Zeb Brice Little and her son, Phillip W. Little.

Mary was retired from Jackson Training School in Concord. She was a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Mary loved working in her yard and cooking for her family and sharing in their fellowship at her home. Everyone was always welcome. She was a devoted life long member of Loves Grove United Methodist Church in Stanfield.

She is survived by two sons, Zeb Douglas "Doug" Little and wife, Polly of Stanfield and Dan Alexander Little and wife, Marsha, of North Wilkesboro; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2017 at Love's Grove United Methodist Church, 4360 Polk Ford Road in Stanfield . The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the church officiated by Rev. Jim White. Burial will follow the funeral service in the church cemetery.
