Mary Long

Mary Ross Long, 85 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Novant Health - Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte.

Mary was born November 6, 1931 in Stanly County to the late Garrison Eli Osborne and the late Molly Melinda Osborne.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Dorton Long; one daughter, Mary Ann Holleman; and two siblings, Ruth Osborne and David Osborne.

The funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017 at First Baptist of Stanfield and will be officiated by Dr Tommy Ross. Burial will follow at the First Baptist Cemetery at 200 Hwy. 200 North, Stanfield. There will be a one hour state from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary.

Survivors include daughter, Jeanette (Ronald) Linker of Stanfield; son Tommy (Virgie) Long of Stanfield; daughter, Nancy (David) Tenhengel of Stanfield; daughter, Linda (Michael) Stirewalt of Rockwell; five siblings, Martha Morton, Ester Smith, Naomi Hatley, Nathan Osborne, and Sara White; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
