Mary Love

Mary Alice Ballard Love, age 75, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center – NorthEast in Concord. Mrs. Love was born November 26, 1936, in Cabarrus County to the late James Dewey Ballard and Beda Josephine Canupp Ballard. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Myra Long. The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will begin at 4 p.m. in the chapel officiated by Rev. Cramer Kilpatrick. Burial will follow in the Cold Water Baptist Church Cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at her home. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Webster Broadus Love, of the home; sons, D. Wesley Love of Charlotte, Richard Love of Concord, and James Cooper Love of Concord; daughters, Alicia Hammel and husband, Bob, of Concord and Lesli Salley and husband, Mike, of North Myrtle Beach; brothers, Ken Ballard and wife, Gaye, of Concord and Jimmy Ballard and wife, Mary Linda, of Orlando, Florida; sister, Evelyn Aldridge and husband, Buddy, of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Love family.
