Mary Lowder

Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Polson Lowder, 73 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016 at home in Albemarle.

Mary was born January 10, 1943 in South Carolina to the late Clarence Woodrow Polson and the late Ola Isgett Polson.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sara Rivers and Jean Butler.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Monday at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Darrell Woodrow Lowder; two sons, Conrad (Teresa) Lowder and John Lowder; and one grandson, Mark Lowder, all of Albemarle.

Mary loved her dear family. A very loving and giving person, Mary enjoyed traveling to the beach and mountains.
