Mary Rabon

Mary Frances Rabon, 77, of  Richfield, NC passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023, at home.

Frances was born November 1, 1945, in North Carolina to the late Jessie Helms Hendley and the late Lois Hendley.
She was also preceded in death by husband, James Aaron "Big A" Rabon and sister, Sylvia Hendley McGuire.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, at 2:00 pm in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel,  Albemarle, NC officiated by Pastor Don Crusenberry. Burial will follow at the Simpson Cemetery, Dennis Road , Albemarle, North Carolina.

Frances was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family and friends, especially during the holidays around the wood heater.  She also enjoyed watching TV shows, such as All My Children and General Hospital.  Frances also cherished spending time with her daughter on trips to Harrah's casino in Cherokee.  She was known for volunteering at Hospice of Stanly, and the Senior Center of Albemarle.  She loved the Lord and attended Mountain View Baptist Church of Albemarle.  Frances had a big heart and never met a stranger, and she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include daughter, Mitzi (Gerald) Rabon Ridenhour of Richfield, NC, sons, Jamie (Kim) Rabon and Jeffrey Rabon; grandchildren, Ian (Robbi) Ridenhour, Mercedes Ridenhour, Madison (Colby) Ridenhour Hughes, Chloe Rabon, Laylla Rabon, Sydney Turner, Cole File; great-grandchildren, Juniper Ridenhour, Lexie Hughes and Ronan Ridenhour; and many other beloved family members.
