Mary Smith

Mary Russell Smith age 90 of 13090 Mission Church Rd, Locust, NC passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Britthaven of the Piedmont. She was born July 19, 1920 in Anson County, NC to the late John Thomas Russell and Mary Frances Hubbart Russell. She was also preceded in death her husband Claude Allen Smith, daughter Linda Gail Smith and a number of brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son Roger Smith and wife Margaret of Locust; granddaughter Debra Efird and husband Steve of Albemarle; great grandson Tyler Efird of Knoxville, Tenn. Visitation will be Friday, October 29, 2010 from 10 to 11 am at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. Funeral service will be Friday, October 29 at 11 am in the Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Oakboro. The family will meet the home of son Roger Smith, 13090 Mission Church Rd, Locust.
