Mary Troutman

Mary Bernice Starnes Troutman, 96, of Charlotte, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 28, 2019.

Bernice was born April 18, 1922 in Cabarrus County to the late Zeb Vance Starnes and the late Maggie Lambert Starnes.  She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, John Paul "JP" Troutman; three brothers; and two sisters.

Bernice loved spending time with her family and will be truly missed.

Survivors include two daughters, Helen Seals of Gastonia and Mary (Jose) Pena of Harrisburg; 3 grandchildren, Donna Hiner, Lori (John) Rappe, and Debra (Gary) Hardin; 3 great-grandchildren, Krystle Hiner, Travis (Whitney) Hiner, and Michael (Megan) Hardin; 3 great great-grandchildren, Raelyn, Blakely, Harper, and another on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:15 pm, Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg.  The funeral service will be on Sunday at 3:30 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. Don Newell and Rev. G.W. McCullough.  Burial will follow at Harrisburg Baptist Church.
