Mary Tucker

Mary Louise Spence Tucker, 78, of Albemarle, NC passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Woodhaven Court in Albemarle.

Mary was born August 21, 1939 in Wayne County, MI to the late Frank Dawson Spence and the late Iris Elaine Bond Spence. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald D. Tucker; and sister, Judy Marie Spence.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm, Monday, September 25, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral mass will follow at 2:00 pm at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, officiated by Father Peter Fitzgibbons. The burial will be at Lakeland Memorial Park in Monroe.

She is survived by her son, Mark Brian (Sandra) Smith of Rock Hill, SC; daughter, Robin Rae (David) Alcala of Albemarle, NC, daughter, Tammy Elaine (David) Hillsamer of Harrietta, MI; sisters, Gerri B Maier of Brethren, MI, Jackie Helms of Monroe, NC; grandchildren, Adam David Hillsamer of Manton, MI, Nicole Rae Hillsamer (Hosue) Arguelles of Thompsonville, MI, and Aaron Daniel (Autumn) Hillsamer of Wisconsin; stepchildren, Becky (Marty) Edwards of Peachland, NC, and Sonya (Jerry) Smith of Hickory, NC.

Mary was a loving and wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed being around people, gardening, and sewing.
