Mary Whitley

Mary Faye Mauney Whitley, age 80, of 8711 Mauney Road Mt. Pleasant passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at her home. She was born on June 24, 1930 in Cabarrus County to the late Albert Lee and Mary Belle Linker Whitley. She was also preceded in death by her husband Horace Clarence "H.C." Whitley, Jr. and daughter, Katherine Whitley. The family meeting place will be at the home of her son at 8686 Mauney Road, Mt. Pleasant. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at St. Stephens Wesleyan Church on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 2 PM, with Rev. Gary Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She is survived by: son, Kelly Whitley of Mt. Pleasant; sister, Betty Ruth Crayton of Salisbury; and two grandchildren. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Whitley family.
