Mary Wing

Mrs. Mary Frances (Blake) Wing, 78 of 29680 Lake Side Drive Albemarle, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at Stanly Regional Medical Center. Born on September 26, 1931 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Clifton Blake and the late Minnie Mae (Honeycutt) Blake. She was also preceded in death by Annie Retha Thompson Blake and by her husband Lee Francis Wing in 2002. Mrs. Wing worked for Collins & Aikman and retired from Snyders, Inc., and also worked at the Lutheran Home. She was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. The family meeting place will be at her home. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle on Monday, November 23, 2009 from 6 PM until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at Tabernacle United Methodist Church on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 2 PM following a 30 min. state, with the Rev. Danny Wilson, the Rev. David Hatley, and the Rev. Joe Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory. Survived by: sons, David Allen Wing and wife Amanda of Norwood; and Leslie Albert Wing and wife Debbie of Columbus, OH; daughters, Janie Blake Hatley and husband David B. of Albemarle; Lea Ann Chavis and husband Roger of Albemarle; and Mary Ellen Scott and husband Sandy of Albemarle; brothers, James Blake of Albemarle; Duane Blake, Sr. of Albemarle; and Melvin Blake of New London; twenty grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.
