Mary Yates

Mary “Louise” Plummer Yates, 82, of Harrisburg, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at home. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The funeral service, will be held at Harrisburg United Methodist Church, 4560 Hwy 49, Harrisburg, NC, on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Harrisburg. At other times the family will meet at the home. Louise was born on February 24, 1930, to the late John Leroy Plummer and the late Mary Lou Hooks Plummer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Menford Yates; brother, Johnny Plummer; and a special friend, Robert Carman. She is survived by daughter, Shirley Corcoran of Harrisburg; son, James Yates of Winston Salem; grandchildren, Carrie Barfield and husband, Christopher of Cramerton and Joshua Yates and Olivia Yates of Kernersville; brothers, Roscoe Plummer of Statesville, Lueyco Plummer of Washington State, George Plummer of Midland and Don Plummer of Harrisburg; sisters, Agnes Williams and Jane Walters of Harrisburg; and extended family, Tim Carman and Pat Carman of Harrisburg and Mike Carman of Concord.
